Sensei Ken Skene - 3rd Dan

Ken Skene
Sensei Ken Skene is proof that it is never too late to take up Karate!

He trained in traditional Wado Ryu some 20 years ago, but due to business and family commitments had to stop training.

However in the year 2000 his son started Karate and whilst he was sat watching his son training he decided, at the ripe old age of 46, to have another go!

"I was extremely proud to see my son get his black belt and it was his achievement that drove me on" explains Sensei Skene.

With dedicated training he attained his 1st Dan black belt in November 2003, and Sensei Paul Bowles promoted him to SSKO instructor in October 2005.

Since then he has gone on to gain both his 2nd and 3rd Dan and looks forward to many more years of karate practice.
